Description
An Ancient Ceylon Ritual for Your Body
Sarshapadi oil is Sri Lanka’s traditional warming massage oil — the bottle reached for on cool evenings and after long, tiring days, when the body asks for warmth and slow, deep strokes. Prepared in the Yakkala Siddhayurveda tradition and bottled at source by Gampaha Wickramarachchi Siddhayurveda.
The Ritual
Warm a generous amount of oil between your palms. Massage slowly into the limbs, shoulders, back and feet using long, flowing strokes, spending 10–15 minutes in quiet, unhurried motion. Rest warmly for 20–30 minutes to let the oil settle, then bathe as usual. Practice 2–3 times a week.
